Tuesday - Quiet day

Just 9 in today and quiet, with a number away on holidays, attending cricket, etc.

The Fruit C van is almost complete bar the fitting of the new steps. Stu spent the day finishing the painting, much of it along the sole bar and below.

Cheryl concentrated on much of the remaining top coating and lining out at the south end of the DMU. The main external painting is almost finished with just a bit more lining out and tidying up to do.

Maurice undercoated the cab ceiling, and as that dried so quickly also top coated it.

He then went into the north end compartment and top coated six ceiling panels

One of the minor jobs I was able to get done was repairing one of the orange sliding panels in the corridor connection, which was literally hanging on by the centre hinge only. It is now fully secure with the top and bottom hinges reattached. Just need to get the painting inside the connection finished.

Derek was busy making some new plates for the GWR platform trolley.
