The on going story of the work of the Carriage and Wagon Dept of the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. A group of volunteers who restore the rolling stock and wagon for you to ride on.
I read the blog! It's a lifeline to me to know what's happening at Winchcombe as I live so far away and can only get to the C&W works relatively infrequently to do my share of the work. I hope other members of C&W read Peter's efforts (not forgetting Russ, Dave and any others who supply Peter with photos) so they can know what all the others are up to! Keep up the good work Pater
I also read the blog, keep the great pics coming!I also wish I could help, but alas, it's a hard commute from California! Hope to ride again in the Team's fine workmanship, and I hope it's when the rails go all the way to Broadway. I have a hunch that since the work on Chicken Curve is set to begin, the rails will reach Broadway sooner than we think.Keep up your fine blog Peter.Dave P.
Greetings Dave. Thanks for the support it is very encouraging. The aim is to have Chicken Curve open in the autumn (fall) so how about a visit to celebrate that. You could come again for the Broadway opening. That will still be a long wait with two miles of track to lay and a bridge to rebuilt, we will need a lot more money. We still need to raise£170,000 to complete Chicken Curve!
