January 2nd - Wednesday

APOLOGIES AT THE MOMENT I CAN'T UPLOAD ALL THE PICTURES> THEY SEEM TO HAVE CHANGED SOMETHING ON BLOGGER!

A bit of a catch up on Wednesdays activity after a quick walk round the workshop on arrival there was clear signs progress.

The damaged window on 4790 had been replaced and the door refitted

.

The barn end entrance vestibule on CK16195 has the new wood shaped and fitted (I'm not sure how much of this was done by Steve on Saturday and how much by yesterday's team).

The centre vestibule panelling has also been carefully re stained. It was very streaky but now looks pretty good and by the time the vanishing is done I doubt you will ever know the state it was in.

They also had some unexpected entertainment as the first of the carriages, BG 92418, purchased by C&W fund raising arrived from Toddington

It was delivered by the Andrew Barclay 'Austerity' 0-6-0ST no. 15.

The carriage will be used to meet our revised storage needs freeing up some of the many small wagons currently used.

It is always a problem remembering what we have stored where at the moment!

Thanks to Rod for the last two pictures.
